  3. 2009 Tenuta Dell'Ornellaia Ornellaia

    2009 Tenuta Dell'Ornellaia Ornellaia

    $109.00

    Size 375ML

The 2009 Ornellaia caresses the palate with layers of seamless, radiant fruit. Sweet red berries, mocha, flowers, new leather and spices are some of the many notes that are layered in this sumptuous, totally beautiful wine. The 2009 stands out for its silky tannins and phenomenal overall balance. This is one of those wines that will probably enjoy a long drinking window. In one of my blind tastings, the 2009 made a very eloquent case for itself as the wine of the vintage. The blend is 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. In 2009 winemaker Axel Heinz used the highest percentage of Cabernet Franc ever in Ornellaia and gave the wine less time in oak, both with the goal of preserving as much freshness as possible. 97 points Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate Learn More

  5. Robert Sinskey Pinot Noir Carneros

    Robert Sinskey Pinot Noir Carneros

    $109.94

    Size 750ML

The 2012 vintage created wines that are as close to perfect as we have ever seen. The translucent, ruby red color triggers symptoms of synesthesia as you think you can almost smell or taste the wine just by looking at its vibrant color. Aromas and flavors of cranberry and raspberry are followed by a cinnamon spice and a touch of bramble. The wine is vibrant, almost nervy as the flavors explode across the palate for a nice, long, mouthwatering finish. Learn More

A rich garnet core with a blood red rim invites you in to this classic cabernet as aromas of ripe black cherries, lavender, sweet tobacco and a bit of crème brulée greet the nose. 9. 2011 Silver Oak Napa Cabernet Sauvignon

2011 Silver Oak Napa Cabernet Sauvignon

    $120.94

    Size 750ML

This 2011 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a complex and layered expression of California Cabernet. The wine has a dark garnet color and is bursting with fruit even as it is poured. It has a nose of cassis, violets, licorice, allspice and roasting coffee. On the palate, it has an extraordinarily rich attack, a satin texture and an exuberant expression of fruit on the mid-palate that comes from picking grapes at the peak of their ripeness. The wine finishes with notions of savory umami, and fruit with a medium tannic grip. Given proper cellaring, this wine should give drinking pleasure through 2032. Learn More
