In 1805, Barbe Nicole Ponsardin (aka Madame Veuve Clicquot) took over the house. And in the 1860s to 1870s, the house entered a new era as it began to systematically label each of its bottles and slowly apply yellow labels to all their products. The house has played an important role in establishing the importance and the advancement of champagne. Learn More
