Quick Overview

The oldest reserves of the Tesseron family's Grande Champagne lie nestled in their 13th century 'Paradis' cellars that were once part of the local Abee. This special limited-edition Cognac derives from eight demijohns, 25 liter heavy glass flagons, marked "1898". Cognacs are traditionally transferred from barrel to demijohn after 75 years and the aging process continue, albeit at a very slow rate. The demijohns that gift the world this remarkable Cognac was not a single wine, but rather a blend of 88 Grand Champagne Cognacs that were presumably put to demijohns in 1898. The blends would have included Ugni Blanc, Colombard and Folle Blanche along with many other grape varieties that were planted and flourished pre phylloxera and the formation of the AOC. Only 286 bottles were produced of this singular treasure.
